There is no universally accepted definition of a "learning difficulty", but many of Birmingham Rathbone's service users find reading and writing a challenge and sometimes suffer from a lack of confidence. They may also experience additional disadvantages, such as Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and mental health problems. All too often, our service users are reminded by society of what they are not capable of doing and not what they can achieve. However, Birmingham Rathbone aims to assist them to achieve their full potential. Birmingham Rathbone provides each service user with the level of support that they require, as we work to help them towards living as independently as possible and becoming productive and valued members of society. In order to meet these needs, Birmingham Rathbone provides two main types of services:- Learning Skills and Employment |
