Which services does Birmingham Rathbone offer?

The Department for Educations’ guidance states that: “A person has a learning difficulty if he or she has a significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of persons of his or her age”.

Many of Birmingham Rathbone’s clients and learners find reading and writing a challenge and sometimes suffer from a lack of confidence. They may also experience additional disadvantages, such as Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia or mental health problems.

All too often, our clients and learners are reminded by society of what they are not capable of doing and not what they can achieve. However, Birmingham Rathbone aims to support them to achieve their full potential.

Birmingham Rathbone provides each client and learner with the level of support that they require, as we work to help them towards living as independently as possible and becoming productive and valued members of society.

In order to meet these needs, Birmingham Rathbone provides two main types of services: ·

·Learning, Skills and Employment Services

·Housing and Supported Living Services
