Birmingham Rathbone currently supports 110 individuals with mild to moderate learning difficulties to live as independently as possible in the community. We help clients to build their self-confidence and empower them to make informed choices and decisions about the way they wish to live.
Birmingham Rathbone’s services are provided in partnership with Birmingham City Council’s Supporting People Team, the Care Quality Commission, Social Care and Health and Housing Associations in Birmingham. Our clients live in a variety of accommodation settings. All those applying to access our services are invited to complete a referral form. This will assist us to undertake an accurate and comprehensive needs assessment, where we will discuss individual support needs to allow the client to live how they wish in their community settings. Birmingham Rathbone Support Staff support clients with: • Health and well-being • Maintaining their tenancy • Budgeting skills • Developing life skills • Seeking and maintaining meaningful employment • Gaining recognised skills and qualifications. Birmingham Rathbone’s supported living services are of two types: • Supported Living • Domiciliary Care |
