Learning, Skills & Employment Services

Birmingham Rathbone’s Learning, Skills and Employment services provide opportunities in work-based learning, further education, foundation learning and supported employment programmes for people with mild to moderate learning difficulties. Working from three sites, in the Jewellery Quarter, Moseley and Selly Oak, Birmingham Rathbone offers opportunities that enable learners and job-seekers to improve their English, maths and ICT skills, to gain qualifications in a number of areas (including Adult Health and Social Care; Caring for Children; Gardening and Landscaping; Retailing; and Hospitality and Catering) and to build “employability” skills to access paid employment.

All our educational and training services are regularly inspected by OFSTED and are supported by a high quality Information, Advice and Guidance service for learners.

900 learners and jobseekers work with Birmingham Rathbone every year.
